The Conference Board-Burning Glass Help Wanted OnLine Index of job ads edged up in June to a reading of 140.3 from May’s reading of 139.9.
The 0.3% gain between May and June follows a 0.9% decline between April and May and overall, the index is up 51% compared to a year ago.
The Conference Board produces the index in collaboration with Burning Glass Technologies, a provider of labor market data and analysis. The index measures changes over time in advertised online job vacancies, reflecting monthly trends in employment across the US. Ads are collected from more than 50,000 online job domains.
